If you’re going to consider Christmas decorations for the classroom, you’ll need to think about your bulletin board. If you’re someone who likes to set up a Christmas Holiday Bulletin Board, then you might want to change out the background and borders to get in the holiday spirit. Always start with your bulletin board background because that will make your border decision for you.
My 2 favorite bulletin board papers for Christmas are the white shiplap paper and the dark green paper. I would pair the shiplap paper with any of the borders above, especially with the green scalloped border. I would also pair the dark green paper with the red plaid bulletin border, brown wood bulletin border, white wood bulletin border, and the plaid bulletin border.
If you’re looking for more a textured look for a bulletin board I would recommend the red brick background. The best part of each of these background is that they are timeless. You can simply switch out the borders and never change the background all year long.
I am a huge fan of soft/ambient lighting (side note: I wish classrooms would completely get rid of fluorescent lighting) and adding Christmas lights is the best way to create that. Grab yourself a string of lights and create your winter wonderland in minutes!
So I am wondering…do you have a Christmas tree in your classroom? If you don’t, I highly recommend this flocked Christmas tree (I also own this one). It comes with battery operated lights and is perfect to place on your teacher desk.
Speaking of your teacher desk, this Christmas garland would look amazing on the front! I love finding ways to add pops of color in the classroom and this would do the trick. This garland would also look amazing on a bulletin board or on a door.
Want to add some more garlands to your classroom? This gold sparkly star garland is so versatile. I personally would love to leave them up all year! Add some sparkle with these beauties by hanging them on your windows or layering them with the Christmas garland.
How adorable are those tiny plaid stockings? They are PERFECT for the classroom! They come in a pack of 24 and can be used for the entire season! Surprise your students with candy, little erasers, notes, and more. How would you use these stockings in your classroom?
It’s time to stay matchy matchy and pair the plaid stockings with the plaid pillows! The pillows are another easy way to add Christmas cheer to your classroom. The red berries in Christmas florals will perfectly accent the pillows as well. Add them to various places in your room to give that Christmas farmhouse feel everywhere.
Ready for some easy parent gifts? I found these adorable wooden ornaments that your students can customize and create in the classroom.
I love the farmhouse look of the wood sliced ornaments. These would look so beautiful on a Christmas tree and your students will love taking their time to create the most meaningful gifts for their parents.
My inner 6 year old self was screaming when I came across these rainbow Color Scratch Christmas Ornaments. They come in a pack of 96 and can be used for parent gifts or as a center.
I love all of these student gifts! But my favorite may be the sticker pack because your students will have a blast creating their very own Christmas characters! Christmas decorations for the classroom don’t need to be hard – let your students have fun with it and show their creativity!
Don’t forget to send your students home in style with Christmas frames and bracelets!
